Keisha Buchanan Live Review MTV

London's Jacques Townhouse | 19.07.2011

16:57, Wednesday, 20 July 2011
Former Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan launched her solo career at the ultra trendy Jacques Townhouse last night, performing tracks from her debut LP.
The singer, who was controversially kicked out of her own group in 2009, has kept a relatively low profile since then, but in her own words, is "better not bitter'"
She wasn't wrong, as vocally Keisha is Stronger than ever before. In front of a celeb filled crowd, Buchanan delivered three brand new tracks - Fearless, Carried Sway and Beautiful Mess - from her upcoming album, which is out later this year.
Her foray into solo stardom was met with a positive response as it's no easy feat performing Adele's Rolling In The Deep, but Keisha pulled it off with the right amount of soul, passion and conviction.
Other highlights were a Sugababes medley of fan favourites, including Overload and Push The Button, which reminded us exactly why Sugababes 4.0 just aren't quite the original Sugababes.
The night also included a mash up of Cyndi Laupers' Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with Beyoncé's Run The World - where Keisha cheekily replaced a Queen B lyric with, wait for it... "none of these 'babes' can fade me", proving she's still as sassy as ever.

hulkshare: Sugababes - Freedom [Live At T4 On The Beach | MP3] [MUST HAVE]

Here's the MP3 to the Sugababes' "Freedom" performance live at T4 On The Beach. Fans of the Babes have been impatiently waiting the release of the official single. This serves as a good substitute. It's pretty good quality, I have been enjoying it myself for the past couple of days.

As for the
song itself, "Freedom" is badass. It is easily one of the strongest singles the Babes have released ever! The studio version will surely be a treat.

P.S. >> Another
pic of Jade and Heidi on the set of the video has surfaced, Check it out below:
Hotness.

Kris Di Angelis.

While we wait for the original, comes to help Johnson Somerset Remix. Freedom's first single from the new 8th album is not dying Sugababes! The original version, according to the previews, more likely to appeal. The package will also include remixes of Tom Dick, Friends Electric, Benny Page, Thundercatz (which is rumored and producers of the original), and Kris Di Angelis.

Sugababes Reveal More "Freedom" With New Lyric Video ~ Arjan Writes

[VIDEO] Sugababes Reveal More "Freedom" With New Lyric Video

Back in June, I alerted you about Sugababes' excellent new single "Freedom" when I posted a review of the song after the group exclusively shared the track for me to hear.
Like I wrote before, Sugababes found inspiration in the edgy and melodic vocal pop that made the group such a smash act in the first place with the help of talented production team The Invisble Men and Parker & James. Serving up tight vocal harmonies and a distinct dubsteppy edge, "Freedom" is a potent, joyous and contemporary hit tune that echoes Sugababes' original pop glory.
Listen to a minute and half of the single after break that will give you a good feel for the song. "Freedom" will be released in the U.K. on September 18. (Thanks to Sugababes Daily for the heads up.)

The latest line-up of the Sugababes assert their ‘Freedom’ on the first single to be lifted from the forthcoming Sony Music debut.
Despite already performing the song recently at T4 On The Beach, the studio version of the track is still M.I.A (a fact no doubt attributable to its ‘official’ release being almost two months away).
Perhaps in a bid to tide fans over, a lengthy snippet of the track has been released. Take a listen to what Amelle, Heidi, and Jade are serving up as their first original single below…

We’re holding judgement until hearing the song in its entirety. You don’t have to though.

Secrets Of The Pop Song - Xenomania

Brian Higgins appears on episode 2 of the BBC series Secrets of the Pop Song, which explores the process of songwriting, following from pen and paper to first public performance. In this episode, Brian Higgins talks about how the chart single has changed over the last 50 years and reveals the process of writing Sugababes' "Round Round", the first number 1 single produced by Xenomania.
