It’s not every day you find yourself in the middle of a showbiz drama.

But I found myself in the crossfire of a Sugababes reunion at Wireless.
Posing for a picture with the current line-up of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen, we all gasped as Keisha Buchanan – who left the band in 2009 after falling out with the other girls – entered the swanky Barclaycard VIP area. Amelle whispered to me: “Oh f*** it’s Keisha.” And we all awkwardly stood trying to work out who was going to make the first move.

Myself and the Babes sloped off to our corner where we’d spent the afternoon slurping cocktails and Keisha sat on the opposite side of the area. Heidi said: “Did you see that? What do we do?”
But within seconds I found myself directly in the middle of four very emotional ladies as Keisha took the bull by the horns and walked across to say hello for the first time in nearly two years.

Heidi and Keisha embraced for more than a minute and both were blubbing like babies. Then Amelle started crying and hugged her former bandmate – while poor old Jade sat there looking unsure what to do.

With a nervous giggle she held out her hand and said: “Hi, I’m Jade.” After so much water under the bridge, Keisha didn’t overstay her welcome, telling the girls and me: “I’m going now. But we needed to do that. I’ve got nothing against you lot at all and I’m glad you’re doing well.”
And just like that Keisha was gone. Shaking Heidi said: “I didn’t expect that. But it’s lifted a weight off my shoulders.” Amelle added: “Good on her, that took a lot of balls. I haven’t got anything against her. The air is clear.”

Having been with the Sugababes since the very beginning I’m thrilled I was there to see the ladies kiss and make up.
