The unique ‘Whatever It Takes’ artwork campaign has gathered over 600 leaders from the fashion, music and film industry including Nobel Peace Prize winners to raise money for charity. Recently, Kanye West along with Samuel L Jackson, UK band Sugababes, Beverly Knight and Claudia Schiffer participated in creating environmentally sustainable products.
The Whatever It Takes campaign, which was launched by the 21st Century Leaders Foundation has already raised over $4 million thanks to the proceeds from each person’s individual artwork. The charity is a fantastic example of how people can use creativity to raise money through merchandising, and will help charitable projects worldwide now and in the future. Those benefiting from the money raised include Oxfam, British Red Cross, Comic relief and many more.
Entertainment icons have often given a voice to charitable organizations seeking to improve people’s lives from the disaster in Haiti, to the 2004 Asian Tsunami, and their leadership on these issues has helped millions participate in rebuilding lives in wartorn countries and those devastated by natural disasters. As the work of the 21st Century Leaders continues, there will be plenty of opportunity for big names to lend an artistic touch to a great cause.
Founder and Trustee Charlotte di Vita of 21st Century Leaders Foundation told tooktothestars.org : “21st Century Leaders Foundation shares Masdar’s vision to support youth in the GCC to lead in the promotion of social enterprise and sustainable development solutions, in a manner that is both fun and educational” at its inauguration in the city, the first international Charity to be founded there (Abu Dhabi).
Retailers have also stocked the celebrity artworks across the world which can also be bought through the Whatever It Takes website.

They can usually be found donning sexy minidresses to perform on stage.
But yesterday the Sugababes tried an entirely different look as they dressed as witches for a magazine photoshoot.
Amelle Berrabah, Jade Ewen and Heidi Range had their hair teased to within an inch of their lives, and had lace glued around their faces to achieve the optimum effect.

And while the girls ended up looking like witches in the shoot for Look magazine, it was actually a 'Winter Wonderland' spread ahead of Christmas.

But getting primped and preened ahead of the shoot wasn't an easy task, and Jade tweeted later in the day she was still suffering after being covered in lace.
After writing on her Twitter page she was finding glue in her hair, she clarified: 'LOL they glued some lacy stuff around my hair-line today for the shoot.'
The girls are currently working on the followup to their hit album Sweet 7.
Talking about the new record, Jade said: 'We really want to be all about the voices so are just getting round an acoustic guitar to write the songs at the minute.
'We've recorded about 15 tracks so far. There are no big-name producers we're working with as then we'll end up sounding like them and everything that's out there at the minute.
'It will definitely sound a lot different to Sweet 7 as that was current and fitted into what was around in the charts when it was released.'
The Sugababes will no doubt be hoping to emulate their previous success.
Last year they entered The Guinness Book of World Records after being named the most successful female act of the 21st century.
They beat both Girls Aloud and The Saturdays to the top spot with six UK number one singles and eighteen top ten UK hits.
